Not sure why you think he wasn’t fired. He wasn’t an employee of CNN or Warnermedia, he was a contributor, which is basically a contractor. As such he wouldn’t be fired, just never on tv again for CNN. To my knowledge he hasn’t been on CNN since the incident. Now if you are suggesting that his actual place of employment, The New a Yorker, fire him from CNN. Then I am sure they will get right on that
I don't recall seeing in the COBC specifically that giving it a grab during a video conference was grounds for dismissal.

And no one in the C-suite ever has to adhere to any COC. Rank has it's privileges. But they are all required to shove down the line the SJ BS.
