So we just not going to talk how every major retailer has altered their Black Friday shopping events to be all online and releasing deals all online. However we are 8-8 and acting like everything is normal because touchless, plexi glass and waiting areas will save us. People are going to flock to Verizon as it will be one of the places open or available. Even with precautions in place they are subjecting every single person in a store to unnecessary risk. It's not any other way other but then they are putting profits before people. Black Friday shouldn't exist and especially in 2020. Let's line up people in the cold, have reps and managers go in and out of a cold building 8am - 8pm and lets create an environment that enables lax sanitation procedures. Fellow frontline reps, we are taking a huge risk being exposed to so many people. Make sure you put nothing besides your safest at the highest priority. I know this won't end well, but please don't be a part of that story. If only we could count on our upper leaders out side the store to wake the F up. They are putting blood on their hands. The company claims to be so socially responsible, what about being responsible for the front line. They are literally putting the sheep to slaughter. All they have to do is make a commercial and be like "this Black Friday, we are here for you, get the best deals online at vzw dot com" then BF is nothing but explaining to people that everything is online, here's a link, QR code, email, text or every other technological tool that exists. I'd bet you don't see DM's, OPs, RDs, IAMS, R2bs or any one of those people in more then one store if anything that day. Hey they are safe being to one store a day just as we are helping 30 customers a day. "ok I'm going to send you a message for touchless to get into your account, then hand me your phone so I can set it up and put on your screen protector; make sure to leave a 10"

Has anyone seen their retail director in the stores? If not, I ask why haven't you called him/her out on it? Why haven't you reached out to them and CC their boss? "sincerely" request that their absence in the stores is hurting the store's morale and that you expect to see them on the front line, checking in customers & supporting the front line. If they only show up on iconic sales days or holiday sales events, in the email, tell him/her that it's not enough. They need to be present and that it's true leadership to be on the frontline!
I’m more concerned with the maximum capacity allowed in the store. We can literally allow 6 people in the store including the employees. How TF are you supposed to execute a successful BF weekend with 6 people in at a time?! If one family decides to bring the entire crew in, you’re done.
That's the thing. They kind of people who come to a Verizon store right now are the same kind wearing a mask with their nose out. They are the kind of people who still go to big events. They are the kind of people going to football games. In short they are the dumb–ses spreading covid and dont care about value. Trust me every year we think this is the year black friday dies and it never does.

Just like iPhone launch it’ll be an excuse to jack up quota. Without black Friday they can’t “justify” this ridiculous quota they gave us.
They dont care about us. We are expendable. They use us up until we either quit, break down, or literally die. Shame on Verizon for not doing more for the mental health of its workers. Shame of Verizon for not doing more to protect it's frontline from Covid.
