Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

KB transition grade

On a scale of 1-10 how well would you say that KB executed on the plan to move to commission-less stores?

Should KB be fired?

KB never worked retail, unless you want to call a jump from customer service to regional President of retail a real retail experience.

The main reason the union stores are going through the same is because they're a very small part of the Frontline. If there were enough of the stores that were unionized there would be a larger...bargaining chip to stop these things from happening without negotiation. A year ago, I would have voted no to a union, but now. I'd be the first on the picket line.

I will add that my immediate leadership is great and my opinions are not influenced because of them. They share the same frustrations we go through. I've witnessed a more real interaction with them over all this. It's those in the...ivory tower that I have issues with.

As far as an "experience" based comp. 99% of the neutral or negative surveys are from things out of our hands. Like, having a trash POS system. Or upgrade fees. Or that the customer had to be responsible for their own content. Or even that we're out of stock. Covid...I could go on. How about the fact that not every customer gets a survey. Or that if they're trend is to leave a promoter they won't get one or the reverse. If they never leave good feedback they'll get a survey more often. It just seems that this system is rigged against us and we suffer for things that are 100% out of our control.

You do know there is union stores in the company and are all going through the same things. Same pay changes, hours, Touchless, KPI talks and etc..... nothing changed for them besides paying union dues. Union is a business just like any other that looks for opportunities. Only thing hear is they already have had chances to show if can make a change and haven't in this very company under these exact circumstances at this very time. Stupid.

CORRECTION* -

It’s actually an “experience based compensation plan” and remember “this plan is designed to empower and reinforce the behaviors that drive a best in class WORLD CLASS experiences” ... lol.

Quoted from KB ON 6/4/20 in the midst of a global pandemic.

Also remember that we are seeing more of our “total targeted compensation GUARANTEED through our base pay ENSURING MORE PREDICTABLE INCOME”!

“And for those that enjoy individual quota goals, we ask you to become a part of our GROWING telesales team” ....

A SOLID 1. No doubt abt that. She ain’t got no right to play with peoples’s money like that & yet we’re facing another BS like that, while her and her executive level peeps just blink their eyes while they watch this show??i mean Hats Off to this “Political Drama”. There is So Much Politics in this company, one can’t imagine. It may be not 60s or 70s, but Union is what built this country, Hands Down!!. Time for the Union already folks & yeah, yeah, yeah or Blah Blah Blah whatever ya’ll wanna call it. Nobody cares at this point!!

At the same time, SMs, GMs, DMs(if there is a justified position like that in the company), wud b thanking God that their “Pay” remains the same, irrespective of what’s going on. Its only the frontline workers like us who have to pay the price. Time to wake up folks!! We can still Unionize!!

If you don't think the eradication of commission is on the horizon I'd ask what you're smoking or when you're gonna wake up?

She should be fired for integrity issues. You can't justify her rolling out and doing everything she has done with her having a clear conscious. How is that integrity to say employee safety is her main priority when black Friday is still happening. Crazy how the company would go to such extremes of having sock puppet leaders to screw over the front line. Grow a pair.

Commissionless stores aren’t a thing and won’t be a thing outside of express stores

KB does not know what she is doing. She does not understand the store environment or what we have to do. This translates in not understating our value. It’s easier to judge from an ivory tower than to do.
