These predictions are just spot on. Off by a week, but close enough.
What were the strategic reasons for layoffs in Feb?
not really
You are on payroll for two months after notification, which includes regular pay, full benefits, 401K match, and bonus payout. You will still get your bonus even if notified 3rd week of February.
If the bonus payout is within their 60 day window, wouldn’t they get it anyway?
It's going to be messed up for someone no matter when the next round is. Look back through the older posts here. It wasn't fair in November because it was too close to Christmas. Now this round is messed up because it's too close to bonus time.
It is tough, but they have a business to run. Shareholders to answer to. Synergies to be realized. If you are worried, start doing something about it in case you're next.
There are some very good strategic reasons February is the next target. Sit back and watch.
That would be messed up the layoff in February!!! Bonuses are paid out in March, so many people would be missing out on that. I understand it strategically from a business standpoint but geez
Who are ya kidding? As if the Indians will get the boot? It will be us Americans.
Is STS all the overseas Indians on NSD chat who end up escalating issues to US based teams to solve?
Because, I’d be OK with that?
This is just guessing as I didn't make the original post. TPMs, or technical project managers. Oh excuse me, I mean "Scrum Masters", or "Agile Coaches", as TPM is so 90s or turn of the millenium. Because we need more scrum masters like we need more lawyers. And its always a great idea to get 10 scrum master together to solve some technical problem.
What roles in STS?
Schwab Technology Services, or what other companies call IT.
