I remember when the T was acquiring Warner, Rupert Murdoch wanted to buy CNN. He even went so far as to reach out to our former leader (in title only) to inquire about a possible sale. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Fox make a run at it. It would give his sons a network to run they actually agree with.
Al Jazeera and Bezos will bid the price up for CNN. It would be a Crown Jewel for either of them.
Desperate people do desperate things. Nearly everything outside of mobility and fiber will be sold soon by t top execs if it can bring even close to market value, regardless of magnitude of loss. Liquidate and cut jobs is only way out of this mess that was years in the making. The dividend is the only thing sacred at t now.
