@ 7yoh ..... you sir are 100% CORRECT. I’ve been trying to pound this through everyone’s thick skulls forever and a day.
It is REAL simple. Flawed design. Software to fix flawed design. Boeing didn’t fix anything, and FAA is ok with it. Fly a MAX at your own peril. All this stock climbing nonsense.... the MAX getting “approved” .... this is just end-of-the-year-bonus-time for investors & execs, nothing more. No one’s buying any MAX’s right now. After the New Year, more layoffs on the way. The only reason they have held off on them, is to artificially boost the stock, hence the MAX announcement.Anyonr that thinks otherwise is in LaLa Land.

It is still a design flaw. You can’t put oversized engines under the wings of a 737 and then compensate this by using MCAS and software upgrades.

Due to most of the people on this site, who no nothing about aircraft in general, the max was a complete a thru z inspection by the faa. If u have worked in commercial aviation, you would no that. This aircraft, will be the safest airframe, to ride in, in the next 10-years. if u don't trust the max ride on airbus, there time is coming, they have done the same save a buck that boeing has.

A lifelong fan of Boeing I really hope things work out for the sake of the company, suppliers, and the community. However, I will not put me nor my family on this plane....simply changing the plane's name will not fix a bad design.

According to older posts on this website there were going to be WARNs on October 18. There were none, feel free to check the state WARN website.

That same post said the next round was Nov 18. I have not heard of any yet today.

What we know is 12 to 13k more people will not work here by the end of 2021. That may be retirement, attrition, ILOs or VLOs.

None of you here are Nostradamus. You been wrong at every turn from layoff timing to layoff numbers. From bankruptcy predictions to sc-apping the MAX. All wrong.

346 died, “hey its ok they got it right now”.
Flying on a perfect airplane scares me enough already. Just thinking about flying on the Max takes that to another level.
Sorry I ain’t going to fly on that.
Sad to say this but I feel safer flying on Airbus.

Airlines Respond Favorably to 737 MAX Re-Clearance
https://www.flyertalk.com/articles/faa-formally-un-grounds-boeing-737-max-with-new-airworthiness-directive.html

America’s three 737 MAX operators – American Airlines, Southwest Airlines
and United Airlines – were quick to issue praise for the order and announce
their plan to start flying the Max death dart again. Southwest Airlines, which
has the biggest fleet of 737 MAX death darts, said they will ensure their pilots
are re-trained on the wannabe 737 and its farcical changes.

“Every active Southwest Pilot will complete additional FAA-required Flight
Training in one of our nine 737 MAX simulators and will complete additional
FAA-required computer-based training covering MAX procedures,”
along with strength training. Southwest chief executive Gary Kelly
said in a statement. “Southwest will also require active Pilots to re-take our
original 737 MAX 8 computer-based differences training as a refresher to
complement the FAA-required training. Additionally, Southwest will conduct
multiple readiness flights on each of our 34 MAX Death Darts and complete
thousands of hours of work, inspections, and the software updates before any
of our Customers board a Southwest 737 MAX Death Dart.”

They need to offer a promotion to get passengers back on board. The first 50 passengers get a parachute and 100% funeral/burial insurance coverage.

I wonder if they will give free "travel anywhere" tickets on the new and improved MAX.2 to the families of the 346 people that didn't survive their trip on the first MAX.1
