I’ve spoken to many of my former coworkers that were left at RJ and they all say the same thing - no motivation, loyalty to the company has vanished and they do the bare minimum. The latest layoffs have completely changed the culture and environment of what was once a well-respected and well-loved company. And once a company’s reputation is destroyed there is no going back from it. Eventually word will travel and future applicants will think twice on seeking employment at this place.

I spoke to a close friend over the weekend that is in Software Engineering. They are paralyzed. David Allen and Vin are struggling with priorities and getting people motivated. I was told that some SE's are waiting to see what bonus, profit sharing and ESOP are. Some are close to just leaving, others are going to milk the job.
I left a few years ago, but I am hearing the same from old friends. Sad place to work. Tension all the the time.
Life at RJ is not good at the moment. Nobody cares, it's everyone for themselves. When I was first let go I had a great deal of anger but then realized this was a blessing at least for me. The stress of RJ has taken a toll on a great many people including me. Since being let go I have lost 15 pounds, am walking every day, sleeping well. Only thing I miss are my teammates and the daily talks. It is hard talking to them now, they are simply trying to survive.
I am still looking for a job, having the choice I would rather still be working at RJ with low morale :-(
