Seriously? After all, they could care less about selling auto parts.

Do the math. 5000 stores sell warranty of just one dollar. That is 5000 dollar x7 days which is 35000 a week x 52 equals 1,820,000 a year. However it will be a lot more than that, say 5,000,000. Just one year with no payout for awhile. It costs nothing to sell at store level, IT costs will be recouped and the investment of the money will more than pay any warranty claim. It would be a couple of years before warranties would be paid out. New car dealers have been doing this for years. When I worked for Totota we moved 400 cars a month, and the shop only ever did maybe 3 warranty deals a month , yet if only 200 people bought warranty at 500.00 think of the profit made, not including the finance charges! Makes good business sense.
are we AAP or Lowe's? now we have to sell extended warranties?? on wipers, lolololol
