Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Survey results v Lay-off vibe

I’m trying to wrap my head around what leaders are touting as largely positive employee survey results v. The employee frustration I see here.

Is no one doing the survey honestly out of fear of retribution? Is the experience discussed here really a small % of employees?

What could account for such a disconnect?

I agree with what I've read above. I do say whT I want in my surveys no warm n fuzziness from me but I do know that upper management DMs & Directors will get the negative feedback so of your someone who complains regularly they will know its from you. This most recent one we did several of us complained about similar issues like losing our ability to request what days off would be in the old retail scheduler tool after they converted us into the WF schedule tool. A few weeks in we got called called into the mgrs office 1 by 1 to have a video conference with a rep from HR asking how the work environment, dynamics & atmosphere were and if any of us had any grievances.

They share these surveys with Directors and DMs. Yeah your name isn’t on it but believe me they will know who you are by what you say. Verizon has a no retaliation policy they do stand behind, but good luck getting promoted if your boss/director knows what you said. Those surveys were so bad for so many years they didn’t share any of the results as a whole.

Of course when they survey the bottom feeders this new one team approach is a dream. Ironically the reps who rarely made quota and were lazy AF come out smelling like a rose. I know two reps in my district that were on a PIP more then once in the last few years. Now it’s like they got a fresh start. We are pretty much the only carrier not to have individual commission and the results show it.

People interpret the survey to support their own ivory tower point of view. Wish we had an upper leadership team that came from the stores and knows our world.

@ugo+17bjZSBX Fair enough and good point however these forums do represent how front line workers truly feel. You don’t need 10,000 reps commenting on here to figure it out. The actual surveys that we take at work are skewed in that some reps do fear push back. It has happened in the past.

I've always been brutally honest in those surveys. I've never been retaliated against. Yet, its like shouting into the dark. They'll do whatever they want to do. Our voices don't mean anything to the corporate overlords. They pick and choose what they want to hear anyway.

I don’t know. I tell them negative things on the surveys all the time.
I was never retaliated against or ever heard a word about it.
Fears of retribution ore overblown nonsense.

Only and id–t would be negative on a company survey. They're tracked, and departments that b–ch get replaced. That's why everything is wonderful in corporate survey land.

You have to realize these types of forums count for a fraction of the frontline
