Thread regarding Pioneer Natural Resources Co. layoffs

Morale and loyalty

For all PXD employees, how does this affect your morale and loyalty? Even if you get to stay after the layoff, will it make you want to work even harder and be more loyal to the company? Or will you start looking for a way out?

Lol. Seriously??? In PXD playbook "salary" means you do what we say, when we say, for how long we say! Hourly can make almost double paychecks by putting in a few extra hrs, and "work from home" b.s. salary can get stuck on a project for 80 hrs a week and get the old, "we will make it up to you later" raincheck. Its garbage!

It's called Self pride. Do the job your paid to do. Pioneer only owes you the agreed upon check for worked hours, nothing more, nothing less. If you need a pat on the a– for a job well done to encourage you to work harder, you weren't raised right.

Way out for sure. A company cannot exist like Pioneer with only 1 basin and however they deal with that challenge I do not look forward to.

Agreed. Loyalty to a company is overrated. Do what's best for your career growth.

Never had loyalty to pioneer. It’s a job and pioneer pays me for my work. Pioneer and myself do not owe one another anything more.
