I am going to sign the disgraceful and humiliating contract. Twenty five plus years and I get the same severance as someone there 2 years. I am so embarrassed that I have stood by this company who basically is saying F'you to me. Oh yes, it is not a funeral SR! To me, it is!!!!

I dedicated over 25 years of my life to SW. My friends and family called me Mr. SeaWorld. I was so loyal and dedicated. SW did no wrong and I would do anything for the park. Long hours. Late nights. Weekends and holidays. When I was furloughed, it hurt. I couldn't take it personally because of covid. When I received a letter saying I was let go, hurt even more. No call? No Thank you. No cake? It was sad. Depressing. Hurtful. But since that time I found a new job. I've enjoyed learning new things and meeting new people. I'll always love SW and the people there. My heart will always be with the park but knowing how terribly it's being run now and how the "good old days" are long gone, I'm happy to have something new. There is life after SW.
Pick yourself up, brush yourself off and carry on. It's what I did, couldn't be happier. I moved to Brevard County, I now work for a nationwide firm that has contracts with NASA, SPACEX and BLUE ORIGIN. Life will get better.
My heart has broken each time friends/family/coworkers were laid off. I thought there us a reason why I'm still here.. Keep doing what you love... But it burned me out... I'm not waiting to be called back anymore...looking towards the future now but after more than 25 years with this company that had been like Family until at least 2010... I'm heartbroken once again (for the last time) it has come to this. No severance (hardly) really... I see why some have spoken out to the media.... My former coworkers/friends/family will continue to be in my heart and will continue to be in touch. Good luck to you and me in our future endeavors. Bye bye SW ... haa! You played us this year for sure taking advantage of COVID... Make as much a buck as you can...
I understand your pain, 26 for me and it's a slap in the face, I'm so sorry you are struggling but you will get through this, we have no choice, Its going to take time to put this place behind us, half my life was spent here, I'm still dealing with sadness and have been out since last year due to medical, I'm finally accepting it but it has taken awhile, God bless you on your new journey, you will be happy somewhere else, the fun is gone there anyway, but we do have our memories and we will make new ones elsewhere. So many people hurting from these actions it just disgusts me. My prayers to go out to all of us who lost all we worked hard for.
