Rumor flying around the industry right now is that Weatherford is planning to leave North America Onshore completely. Anyone heard similar or have intel?

They are most likely .. I am not sure about the future .. NEW ceo came but he came just to get his resume polished with the title so that when he applies somewhere he has CEO as a title. It is terrible. Pretty soon Bld will leave as a retired. He got all his money why he won't . Spencer road location is a mess though .. Ppl are going left and right .. Saw Composite Expert guy another one in Liner hanger.go . How come they let some of the experts go keeping oldies in their 70s still there. Koitn , GIRX, Hoppnn etc. Biggest joke is Cementation HEAD. FORGOT his name.

Just because there are high dollar opportunities in NAM doesn't mean Weatherford can capitalize on them. With as many cuts as have already been made and with more to come they are going to be forced to re-evaluate which regions they can profitably and reliably service. Something they should have been doing all along.
