Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Macy’s wants to be kohl’s

Going forward. Keep this in back of your mind of how Macy’s wants to be kohl’s when you see people getting laid off. You can see it happening all around you. If there was high salary management left after 30 years at this time it would cost to much to let them get a buy out. Let’s run them they Xmas get some money to buy them out. Then railroad them out come feb. kohl’s had no shoe runners. No Dedicated sales people. Open sell. No manager. They only have stock people and one manager and one store manager. Lp is the same. Only one guy per shift that has another back up on other days. Kohl’s has no operating manager only stock boys and no visual either only associates following a map. To think your safe. Your nuts. They tell tale sign is ops merge with visual. Two polar opposite. Because in the near future neither is needed. I think they are hitting the panic button this holiday.

The big "M" is none of the above mentioned. NOT A LUXURY BRAND STORE EITHER!!! A LOW END VEHICLE DISGUISING AS A HIGH END VEHICLE. DOESN'T WORK!

Macy's does not have a plausible plan to be anything. Kohl's understands how to do a low customer service biz and does not try to sell $200+ handbags. Big advantage- most Kohls are not in malls.

If Macy's wanted to be Kohl's they would have done so years ago. Macy's is in a struggle to simply remain Macy's.
