I had just been resourced actioned off of GTS IBM, and ended up on the GBS side. I don't know if I just dodged a bullet, or I've already been shot several times.

Prediction: in 2022, IBM spins off GBS too.
It’s all written in the Bain playbook from
2018, folks.

DXC is all doing some funny excercises (layoffs, contractor reduction to zero, ...) which also are usually prep for some kind of company level activieties. Split, merge, buy, sell.

Can you think of a merge of both GIS divisions?

The question for current employees will be - what does this do to those that are retirement eligible or close to retirement eligible? Do you retain service years and access to FHA? Do you lose FHA? For those with balances in PPP - will it still be accessible? IBM does not treat employees well in M&As and splits usually. Could this be a grand CTO action? Current employees need to dig for answers - quickly.
