I got LR'ed and i am in a sales specialist role. Hit above target all the years i have been in Cisco. At the end of the day they said it was due to purely Opex cuts. How many have been affected in EMEAR?

EMEAR will take months...consultation processes...UK next then rest of EU and different on a per country basis. Will go on into next year.
Seen this many times before....in a role where you feel pulled between two areas?....in an overlay role?...or just not busy enough...sure signs your area will be looked at.
Back in 2017 I suggested such a challenge to my director......he was fine with it....but he went 3 months later...caught between too many master.
Try not to reason why you are affected. It’s useless and won’t do you one bit good. S— it up and move on.
I was affected by Cisco lay-off 2009. At that time, it’s hard for me to swallow. But who knows that today I can retire anytime, I’m only 48. Without the lay-off, I can never do what I’m doing now. Cisco is in a mature industry. Lay-off is part of the game now. You are not affected, you will be tomorrow.
