Thread regarding Raymond James Financial Inc. layoffs

RJ - like Red Lobster , it was great in the 80’s

Raymond James was lucky to have us all - , everyone I knew worked really hard, giving up many nights, weekends and holidays - you’re loyalty and dedication is some
Of the best I’ve ever seen. Raymond James was lucky to have us all and I loved everyone I worked with.... except upper management .
I worked at RJ for five years and left on my own accord last year. I saw the trend hiring more outsiders and contractors....pushing hard for automation. It was a striking difference from when I started. I knew with all the additional VP’s getting hired, my voice and effort became smaller and less important and they only cared about the bottom line....not your time, not your family and certainly not your health. Corporate America has a bad reputation because of companies like Raymond James. I know it’s tough right now, but I will tell you the grass is greener - you will be happier - I didn’t realize how terrible RJ was until I worked somewhere else. Thinking back, this is the worst place I have ever worked. I never felt secure there and I never thought management ever had our best interests in mind. RJ is a sinking ship - you can’t hallow out your technology infrastructure and expect to keep up with other investment firms. A year from now - you will be very happy you have moved on.
