Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Don't let them off the hook

This was mentioned before but I feel like it bears repeating: do not let Allstate off the hook for paying you severance by leaving on your own. It feels like everything that's been happening in the company lately has been engineered with one goal: to get people to quit. It's a despicable tactic, but it works for them. The only thing we can do is not let them get to us and wait them out.

Thank you so much for the severance pay help! I am leaving and I will take the ten percent hit.

I agree with the OP in concept. But I am done. Got my new job, great company and nothing could make me stay with a company like this. It took me dry little time. Get off this crazy roller coaster, life is too short. I’m not looking back.

@OP+17smA1fu It clearly states in my letter that if I leave before the 60 days I will still get my severance, I just lose a percentage of it and really that percentage is so minimal if I get another job I am jumping fast!!!

I got to keep my job but I'm actively looking. Making my Linked in look good.

you can leave on your own and still get severance, several regional employees that were notified they were being laid off have already moved to new jobs and will still be getting severance per their layoff letter minus 10%
