Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Leaving Allstate

Two weeks notice when leaving to work for a competitor? What about waiting until the new year? Do we get paid for unused PTO?

I put in notice. They are not going to cut my time short. My requested last day has been honored.

You would get paid for unused EARNED pto only.

I did not care when I left Allstate, they do not give a damn about employees or their families. I planned my exit behind the scenes, took pto and never returned to work. Called csl 3 days before I was due to return and advised him I was not coming back. I was the 3rd person to leave the company in a month from the auto group. They have no business knowing where you may be going next, tell them you are taking an extended vacation. About a month after I was out HR sent me a notification that they overpaid me on my final check for 3 pto days, I was instructed to reimburse them within 60 days or they would put me in collections. Good luck A—state getting even a penny back. I may get a few foreign coins "RUPEES" "PESOS" and mail to them for fun.

You tell them you’re going to work for a competitor and it gon be a 15 minute notice, they gon throw you out on da street. Wait til new year? Why? Would they wait until the new year to lay you off?? Don’t know bout dat PTO, they probably find some way to weasel out of paying you dat

You Should get Paid for unused PTO. I I would give notice, but that’s just me.
