Forbes 2020 Top Employer List

Anyone see the article, it came out on Oct 15th.
We ranked #13, adidas #11.
Criteria seemed to be based on covid response and stock price and clearly nothing to do with how we feel during this current reorg.

@4rtk, this group is so hostile to outsiders too. If you aren't from Oregon you're ruining Oregon

@4ijn

Thanks for posting this. I'd read some of these before that Instagram got the Epstein treatment. The one that stuck out to me the most was:

"If you are White, went to UO, OSU, PSU, or your parents worked at Nike & you were a Nike Tykes kid, you're guaranteed a job, a promotion, a leadership position & all the benefits no questions asked / minimal experience required."

It's not something you notice at first but, when you do, it's very hard to unsee. I liked to call them the "Oregon Gentry" because of how provincial and insular they are. Just completely clueless that there could be anything outside of their little slice of Oregon.

Forbes must have forgot about this (Our Black and POC employees sure haven't though):

Just so you know, many of these top employees list are "pay to play" and Nike pays to be included.

You will get a lot better "boots on the ground" feedback that is based on the real day to day reality from Glassdoor.

GRATS are great, if you can make the gifted stock in the Trusts go way up, the person putting the stock into the Trust, can then take the appreciation in the stock, above a hurdle rate, and bestow that appreciation, Tax Free, to the designated.

If you are not a big fan of the government taxing your desire to gift your family, with the benefit or your Entrepreneurship and sacrifice, this is the vehicle. If the government designates a very low hurdle rate, very low, you could take advantage of it, and easily bestow the stock appreciation to your heirs.

The key, the stock must go up, no matter what, up it must go, and up it surely did, good on you Buck.

Only a top company if a person is easily brainwashed or manipulated nowadays.

If you think Nike has any more sociopaths than the typical Fortune 500 company, you need a little more life experience.

That sh** is 100% PR and not based in any reality.

If they were being realistic they would say Nike is a great place if you're a resume padding Type A sociopath.
