It has been 60 days plus 3 weeks since I was let go. I signed my lame edocument 2 weeks after our notice was given. I received confirmation of my esignature 7 days after. I am 3 weeks after my final day and last check and no signs of a check or deposit into my bank account. We were told by HR that the severance would be paid by the end of our 60 days so it was "waiting for us". Luckily I had some money saved up that covers a 2-3 month period but do not like the uncertainty. Any word on your experiences with timing of severance? I know peers who were let go that had no money saved up and they are behind on bills now and having big issues. But at least Tom and Glenn are paying their bills ok.

My understanding is ALL SEVERANCE payments will be issued before year end. They do not want any of the severance paid out in 2021
They have to pay you before the end of the year due to tax reasons.
That's not right.
They have up to 60 days from your lay off date to pay you your severance.
I would call HR,
My last day was Oct 9th and I received my severance 7 days later on Oct 16th.
Severance will be paid out 60 days AFTER your last day worked I was told after being told about my elimination. This is to avoid people leaving prior to completing their 60 days after their RIF notification. PLUS those with their last day on 11/20 are paid in 1/2021 tax incentive for Allstate. EVERYTHING this company does is very well thought out, to their advantage.
