Macys is a conveyor belt. They sell you on the job. The culture the benefits the discount. But as you go thru that Redundant computer training that doesn’t prepare you for the Actual job And as they throw you to the lions. You will notice someone is either on their way out or gone. By design there is no career here. They feed those managers with professional development yet they will find the Laziest kid to promote to keep the conveyor belt going all while brain washing you to stay. It’s sad to see a manager waste 20-30 years of their life just to have no real skills and how the world around them has changed into something they can no longer adapt too. Those managers lasted threw all the hunger games only to be now called a people leader or captain and After updating their resume. It looks like you was demoted . Macy’s by design is to promote bad apples and form clicks that try to survive the hunger games. Play politics , so sales managers who was once sales manager II who are now “ customers service captain “ who will next be call “ he/she/it showed up to work friendly bagger and store Wandering Fairies . To the response it's not a joke!!! To the poster, thank you for stating the facts. Promises made to people and not kept just going in circles or more like down the drawn. Waking up is actually frightening. So true everything has changed after slowing down to observe the world. Going back after furlough is difficult.
