Hey landowners there is a reason Pioneer uses shadow companies to lease and aquire your land before said shadow companies assign the leases to Pioneer.

True but not something the west texas community appreciates. Less about acknowledging the practice more about making the local landowners lose faith in pioneer as much as the employees have I imagine, but hey you put that OP in his place didn't you?
Using “shadow companies” to lease your acreage is standard for the last 40 years. You don’t go knock on some landowners door and say “hi I’m Exxon and my checkbook is in the truck, can I lease your land for cheap?”
