It's the north side of 60$ so I'm wondering if I should use my severance to buy ORCL?

In general, people over age 60 should not be buying ANY individual stocks.
Yes. Great idea. I think you should take out a home equity loan to buy more.
Don't throw good money (your severance) after bad (Oracle stock). Invest in a balanced mutual fund, S&P 500 index fund, age-based fund or something similar depending upon your circumstances.
Right now all stocks are risky.
Use your severance to buy the ARK etfs. Check it in 10 years and you'll have a 1000 bagger and by then enough money to buy Oracle the company and layoff the people that laid you off(if they are still around).
Ha. Ha. Ha.
Good one! Use your Severance to buy stock in the company that let you go?
That is kinda like saying they made a good decision to let you go.
If you are Microsoft, it would be a good time to buy Oracle.
It makes perfect sense as long as you plan to short it.
CRM is an excellent alternative.
Look like you love Oracle more than they love you. Oracle stock almost the worst one on nasdaq. I will look for some other stock that have better grow potential
