There's a town hall happening next week at Huntsville. Russia is coming online for manufacturing cementation products.

Just came in from he higher ups. Huntsville this is what the townhall was suppose to be about. All the Texas locations will be closed down no later than March.(facts) Ask your managers they know the full details. Now if they want to tell you thats another story.
If you are still there, better have 6 months of bills in the bank. It is not a question of if you will lose your job, its only a question of when. When you work for a company that DOES not make a profit you and your family WILL get hurt. Chief. There of 100's of more talented people than you that have been given their walking papers. The last ones out will not be given anything.

The word on the UAE street is they can't do much with ADM at the moment as the land they bought and built it on wasn't purchased from the lands legally owner. Rumour has it the cash came from the Venezuela deal. It's still part of a major legal dispute with the Emiratis. :-)

It's not the salesmen. Weatherford has had round after round of re-structuring throughout the years and has rarely gotten any of it right. It always seemed strange to me that manufacturing, sales, engineering, completions, drilling, etcetera, etcetera, would go through some kind of re-org because they were losing money or failing to deliver but the upper management presiding over the fiasco just got shuffled over to something new. They finally started getting rid of some of these legacy Presidents, Vice-Presidents, and Directors, but I attribute that more to the fact that there aren't enough other people left to cut than to an actual assessment of their performance.

I think you can safely blame the collapse of wft on the lousy salesmen
He won’t give specifics because he doesn’t know squat.
It’s better for him to leave it very general so that on Friday he can say “told you so” no matter what minor or major event happens.
Very few service companies survive as long as wft did. Lot of good peeps made a lot of good money off wft over the years.

Pulling out of US completely. No money to be made. How long can you keep paying for all of these buildings and everything that goes with it? The tens of millions of dollars that’s being sc-apped and or sold from drilling services is a crime. All of the inventory,tools, and what not thrown away is crazy. Selling tools on a downturn is a just bad business. Penny’s on the dollar is what I heard. Remember that there is a JAGOFF that did this and took the money and ran. Well I guess many of them. Who is laughing now?
A friend/co-worker said there were some layoffs at West Hardy Engineering this week.

Katy to shut down by December and wireline moving to hardy rd and cutten rd shutting down by November 17th some might be coming to hardy rd. They have already started selling ovens and etc in auctions for those locations.
Ready for something to happen! It wouldn't surprise me to let everyone go a few weeks before Christmas.
