The entire industry is in shambles. Just because there are no immediate layoffs doesn't mean you are safe in any shape or form. I'm not saying you should panic, but make sure to take steps to prepare in case (or more likely, when) the next round of layoffs happens. Update your resume, LinkedIn, call that old buddy who works for the competitor...whatever you can think of. Please be smart about this.

the buddy that works for the competitor? here aren't too many companies or even industries that are hiring right now. Even then there are a large amount of candidates for each position.
