Thread regarding Pioneer Natural Resources Co. layoffs

Motivation

So of course we are all glad to have kept our jobs (for now). But the morale is shot. Different supervisors, different roles, ambiguous PMP process targeted at getting rid of people in March w/out any package. No target bonus, maybe half of target, maybe. All we had was stock that is now worth half of what it should. How is Parsley a good acquisition if the stock fell so much???
Please do something to reward the employees you have left, as we are the ones stuck with poor middle management and no direction. The company is not going to survive if the employees are not motivated and not provided with any direction, not to mention very little possibilities of upward movement.

On the bright side, with fewer employees, you have less guys involved in the "sock" competition!

Well they got to keep their job for their “excellent performance.” That’s a morale booster, isn’t it?

I wish well everyone who stayed behind. However, the amount of hate that was thrown at those who were cut in the early days after the layoffs was disgusting.

I mostly agree with OP. Remaining employees need a morale (big bonus) booster. It’s tough right now.
