But, very few Americans are taxed @ 37%. Most bonuses and large sum “pay outs” are automatically taxed at the greatest amount allowed. When you file your taxes, most of what you paid will be returned. If not, consider yourself lucky.
Please use your personal days and sick days you will not get paid for them.
The company pays out your vacation time owed and owed holidays
If you are a regular hourly and are offered a severance package you can count on 1 week paid per year of service up to 10 weeks AT 35 HOURS not 40. It will be taxed at 37 percent.
It will be in one check and that will not come until you sign the severance package.
Managers are up to 16 weeks is what I heard. Cant confirm because I never wanted to be one.
I hope this answers questions to those in the future to plan if they get called in the office.
Part time worker in store that is closing. Offered a transfer, if I refuse will i get laid off?
"End of the year" for 401k purposes is the end of the fiscal year.....End of February, so not the end of December.
Company is all about helping itself and not you.
Am I right to assume we should be using up the days owed such as personal, floating etc?
I am sure all full timers will be let go sooner then later.
I think that’s what’s going to happen at our store too
