They are in the process of laying off hundreds of GM's throughout the company. Creating a Senior GM position which will now be over 2 stores. Role changes, layoffs, and relocations happening today.
Is this true? I haven’t heard a peep about GMs being laid off as of yet so don't blame me for being sceptical.
More to come in 2021. Many GMs are aware that it is coming but unsure if they will get severanced or retained. If you are a GM, you should be looking. If you become a SGM, how is that quality of life compared to your pay increase from running additional locations?
Don't drop the soap, they'll stick it right in. The GM's they kept to run 2-3 stores will be gone as fast as they close stores down. Those 111 GM's they let go will soon be their bosses somewhere.
Yes it is true. 111 GMs were given severance. The company’s new Senor GM position will run 2-3 stores. It is a cost saving measure.
