Bed, Bath & Beyond Black Friday Deals 2020

I wonder whats going to happen with our sales. Every Black Friday ad I see shows the same products and price , or better.

It will be a disaster with stores unable to process sales, so says The Grand Wizard. Watch and see.

I've worked here for 7 years as a full time employee. This year has been the worst ever - It is a cluster f*%$!
The BOPIS information is wrong, inventory is low or not existent. We have pallets of stuff no one wants and the stuff the customers are looking for we don't have!
Add to this frustration new employees who we hired quickly no training, they stand in the back doing nothing or hide somewhere in the store talking and not helping.
Now add to this being on the frontlines during the highest spike of covid in our area. A ton of people walking through the store and not buying anything - when you ask them why, they say waiting to purchase on black friday. Great plan BB&B have the promo start on one day-have all of them coming in all at once on Friday.

It appears every store is a cluster!!! I thought when this new regime took over things would improve???? Overwhelming freight, insufficient amount of equipment (tc52’s,scanners) which results in pogging not being done, new associates not being trained properly ....the list is endless! We try to find the positive side of it but it’s getting harder every day to accomplish!!!

Sunday was a disaster. BOPIS orders constant all day..3 call offs...167 CDS needed to be done.
I dread Black Friday weekend.
And then there's all this freight 14+ pallets a day. Stockroom, sales floor, top stock are packed 😳

Here's my thought. From what I have read, there is a special that will start on Thanksgiving Day and run through Saturday. Here's the catch. If the customers order on line, they will get 20% off their order, but if they come into the store to shop they will get 25% off. I had thought the Black Friday promotions by many retailers were already being available in stores to reduce foot traffic due to COVID. I am concerned that some of our customers will shop in store just to get the additional 5% off. Also most people don't realize that inventories are low at many retailers as manufacturers are not totally working at 100% plus items from overseas might be delayed. I do have to say that at my store the CDS's and curbside is unbelievable keeping staff busy all day long. I praise those customers who have enough sense to take advantage of options which keep them out of stores for everyone's safety. Happy Thanksgiving to All.
