Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Missing strong leadership in Enterprise product mgmt

After the exodus of strong leaders in the summer the enterprise product mgmt team is now being run by amateurs who have absolutely no idea on what it takes to run multi-billion dollar businesses. Some even got promoted to senior leadership positions - one has to wonder if they really deserved it. Lately there is so much micro management in switching , ISE and wireless team - to a point where a lot of my friends have left and many are looking to jump ship. I am confused as well... With the rumors of another layoff being planned i guess should start planning in 2021

EN and Cisco are great teams but are now being run by amateurs clearly showing a leadership vacuum.

It's called empire building. Reward those in your "inner circle" and fabricate previous results. When someone at Cisco finally catches on to the corruption... switch companies and bring the "inner circle"

This is soo true...As Cisco plans for layoffs the GM went and promoted so many people to VP, Sr Dir, Dir positions. If we were in an opex bind then why promote – it is almost like they did not care for the employees who got lay off..
