Thread regarding Office Depot layoffs

Closing stores 2021

Just found out the store I currently work at is closing in March. It’s pathetic that some company’s like Office Depot have SUCH high prices, which is why most of the locations are closing. As an operations manager, now I’m left trying to find a backup plan before March. Thanks Office Depot. Great way to start the new year.

You need to have a backup way before March. They won't keep you around for more than a couple more weeks. The store will be purchased by a liquidation company shortly.

The D.O.J., has an internal investigation going on with the CEO and several people in Corporate. They have also been in contact with several Managers and the ethics on how the company is treating veterans and minorities and also the disability of pay and improper treatment and pay.
Many stores in Nebraska and Iowa are begin looked at.
They have 1 GM to 2 stores now and it has caused a problem with staff and customers as well as many stores are ruined down and Corporate including the CEO does not care about his employees or there safety issues with hazards within the store as well as the allowing customers to enter stores without masks on.

Sorry that s—s! An SVP just resigned after 28 years so I wonder what’s up! You might be one of the lucky ones, that you had warning.
