Workday Compensation Change Data

Has anyone checked Workday Compensation Change information to see what a promotion would look like?

Go to: Workday > Personal Information > About Me > Job > Worker History

I see my 'Compensation Change' for 2020 is listed but no $ value indicating what that change is. A few years ago when I received my last promotion it actually identified it as a promotion but of course Workday is new so who knows what things should look like. This time I just see 'Assign/Remove Compensation Plan'.

Naïve me wants to believe that a conversation I had with a 'leader' in the function during the transformation hinted at me receiving a promotion. I should know better by now but there was a glimmer of hope.

without getting a promotion? of course. slowly but surely. also, they set the CO at 105 as a cutoff, but had the requirement of sustained performance in recent years. You could be at 105% from getting 1 or 2+ several years ago. And for whatever reason, say you had two years of 2, then you'd still be sitting at higher than 105% and not gotten the promotion.

Is it even possible to be 105% CO without getting at least 2+?

not sure if it was limited to 5% of the workforce. that number doesn't sound right. it is way less than that. every single function did promotions the same way because HR just ran a report and clearly drew a cutoff line with consideration of CO, time-in-grade, historical performance, etc. I know that one of the criteria was having a CO of greater than 105%. if you didn't meet that, then you didn't get it. also, past 3 or 4 years of PMP performance. if you are over 105% but got a 2 every year the last 3 years, then you were also not promoted. it had to be basically 1, 2+ performance, and over 105% CO. so the total promotion was much less than 5% since those combinations were supposed to meant to be capturing the "outliers".

It was limited to 5% of workforce. Supposedly exceptional circumstances. Also from placed roles as part of transformation.

How wide spread were the promotions last year (retroactive to November)? What was the criteria?

promotions are not a work in progress. they are a done deal. those who got promoted have already been told last year. and it was retroactive to november. it's a new compensation program change. if you're trying to snoop around for info on workday, it ain't there.
