I'm hearing that many of those who don't have a seat on the 2021 bus are just plain WOJ (without job) but no process of severance or parting gifts has been discussed. Any thoughts on this?

Kind of annoying that many people are able to look internally and have managers find them spots last week and this week, when some teams (mine included) are in the dark and know nothing about where we stand. If we do not have seats, we are behind in finding one internally and sounds like it will be virtually impossible.
Is TSS going to the new company?
You may not get a call from your immediate manager - s/he may be following you out the door! So maybe expect a call from your bosses boss or even higher.
Yes, this is happening all over. The "your headcount
slot is being eliminated, but you're not laid off yet" is the flavor of the month. Managers (good ones) are calling around for their reports, trying to find them another spot.
It is going to be a bloodbath... all teams in all countries are going to be impacted.
Don't be surprise if you get a call from your manager...
You'll be RA'd then told there's a spot for you in NewCo (if they are wanting you to go there). Or you're on your own. It'll be like the Lenovo sell-off.
The RA hasn't officially happened yet. It's probably going to happen in the next week or 2. Then they will be notified. AK is giving us all a signal to look for jobs if our job isn't in his new sales organization.
