Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Intel a Titanic Sattire

I am an ex Intel employee. No grudges. Company treated me well. However, having worked in other companies, the contrast of what I experienced elsewhere versus Intel became pretty apparent after one month in. This company is NOT capable of making sound decisions or innovating. The history at Intel is RIPE with goofball decisions, colossal losses and failures. Folks at Intel (many of them with ZERO experience outside of Intel)...refer to the f"ing "Moore's Law" as if it were the bible. Alas the good old days (when was it...the 1950s). Intel is the comedic version of Titanic.

So funny that the old catch phrase, "Moore's Law", continues to be recited by employees. This so-called law went out the window about the time 22 nm technology was introduced. To keep it from utterly failing, the Big Wigs just kept moving the goal posts so they can keep reciting the phrase. I don't think many people believe it anymore, except that it is fashionable and they want to keep making their paycheck.

Their mistake was to make a marketing guy a CEO. He then loaded up the company with non-technical folks, leading the company to the state which it is in - a great marketing engine, but technical prowess falling behind day-by-day.

How does it feel like working for a company whose stock never went past $50? When you have AMD and Nvidia with AWESOME technology, LASER FOCUSED execution, stellar management and talent (unlike the goofballs at Intel)...and with skyrocketing stock. Intel "a relic"..."titanic"...."dinosaur"...just hanging on by the skin of their teeth...."good at deflecting". The best...it took the CEO of RedHat to call out Intel's "b—s—"...and c-ap shoot technology. And Intel's technology is "equal" to the mainframes of yesteryear. That is why companies like Microsoft, Apple and more to come are pulling away. Titanic #2 (the satire).
