Just learned commissions is going in shoes. Not sure about beauty. Other dept stores have done this and they all went under in a year

Are they paying people their average? And what about hourly leads who switched to draw vs commission with no pay change?
Our shoes are not open sell but I know a couple of years ago they were restructured and commission was eliminated. But draw versus commission will be no more.
Shoes will be open sale. No commissions. Hence why some stores have no runners anymore.
Is shoes going to just be open sell? I know some Macy’s in my area have that but ours still had salespeople and a stockroom
