Bunch of losers in management that use "collocation" as excuse to RA people. We're in the middle of global pandemic what difference does it make if we're not at the chosen site now? What jerks to say that now. Stop lying just say the truth to people that we had to cut jobs due to declining sales.

It makes total sense. IBM wants you to quit rather than move.
Is there any way to fight colocation? Been working remotely for 14 years and being asked to move even though no one on my immediate team is at the office I’m being asked to move to. Makes zero sense.
Someone on JW Slack channel asked JW a question about this.
The answer from JW was:
"This is about strengthening our ability to collaborate, which will help accelerate our pace of innovation. While 2020 proved our ability to work remotely and collaborate effectively, and many roles will be able to operate in a hybrid approach post pandemic, we do feel that certain roles will always benefit further from face to face interaction."
Can you really trust JW? Obviously not. We all know the purpose of forced relocations...
This is no doubt the brilliant strategy of the NA digital sales leader and the minion who does his dirty work, they are both useless!

Same here I was told the same just lame excuse to cover their behinds from legal risks.
What ever happened to Ethics and just being honest and say you had to cut staff due to declining sales??

I’ve heard nothing of that in GTS, GBS, Global Markets or Marketing?
That’s not right to collocate when IBM’s CEO AK indicated remote working is where ibm is headed, realizing this during the pandemic! Even before pandemic, we were very successful working from home, this is just an excuse to force employees out!
Collocation to where? Is this the Columbia center again?
