Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Better days ahead

Right now upper management is taking advantage of everyone with an increased workload after massive layoffs. I work in agency support and we also have to learn rmbc in addition so twice the workload. Also have to take 3 chats at the same time while this month there are usually 600 - 700 chats holding and agents waiting two hours for help. To put it lightly work is a nightmare and morale is very low. The company right now just cares about the bottom line and not customers or employees. I think when this virus dies down in the next year or two, Allstate has no choice but to change their ways or many employees will leave. The only reason they haven't left is because we are not only safer working from home, but most offices are closed for employers.

Received 10 new claim assignments today. Enough said. Curious about everyone else’s new claim count in a day since the layoffs..

ydd+18Yxxe4h I'm clueless...what type of jobs do they usually send to India? Customer Service & FNOL calls?

Claims is horrible, switching the role of everyone in our MCO to all being Claim Owners and handling the entire claim and all coverages, while also doubling the number of claims we get each day. This was all done with a week's notice and NO TRAINING. We are all handling coverages that we either hadn't worked on for multiple years or never worked on period.

People are working tons of hours just to keep up and I am now being threatened of being let go because my pending is behind my coworkers. Each day we are reminded time and time again that most important thing we are evaluated on is our CLF score. Currently I am at 100% and have received multiple compliments from customers, but now they are threatening me on my pending level.

They also track and evaluate us on how much we use QFC and the VA Tool for settling claims and both are ridden with problems and never work for customers.

At this point I am starting to believe being laid off would be better than staying at this hell hole that doesn't care about their employees or customers, they only care about their stock price going up a couple points.

All this happening during the pandemic only amplifies how much they don't care.

Lol, just lol if you truly believe that, I have heard “things will get better” for YEARS at this dump and they’ve consistently gotten worse. They WANT employees to quit, no severance and then can dump their work of their coworkers and blame the person that left. Once they get India fully up and running tours over boyo!
