1) I understand not all retirees may qualify for this benefit and as of right now it only goes up through 2023 and may or may not be extended beyond 2023 for those who are already taking advantage of it (also if you retire after end of year 2020 it will not be available to you), but does anyone know in where this is documented?
2) And when did ATT start offering the retiree HRA? I don't recall SBC management retirees from years ago having this available to them.
There is an ATT Retiree Facebook group. Join it, there's a lot of good info there for retirees or those close to it.

I retired in 2018, but not quite Medicare Eligible as of yet, so these postings are educational.
I expect I will be hearing from AON/Hewitt in a few more years.
The occupational benefit should be around through plan year 2023 for plans purchased through the AON exchange.

The new AT&T Med Advantage is not offered through the exchange. I'm going to stick with the AARP UHC PPO and qualify for $2700 funding.
Shortly after the Affordable Care Act (Obama care) went into effect AT&T moved all Medicare eligible retiree's to the exchange to obtain their Medicare supplement and they set up the exchange with AON/Hewitt and came up with the $2700 figure to supplement. Since now AT&T has worked a deal with United Healthcare for an Medicare Advantage Plan, they will eliminate or reduce the HRA. If you now go with the UHC Advantage Plan, you only get $300 from AON to but a dental and/or vision plan.

Those that were retirement eligible at the time received a company email in January 2020 informing us that the retirement HRA was no longer going to be offered to those that retired after December 31st of this year.
