Workplace is worthless is the point. If you think virtue signaling saves you in a downsizing, think again. The people who kept their jobs realized it was better to actually do your job well. This is not lack of empathy, it is reality. Most D&I folks on shared energy are planted there; very few people actually buy into the supposed orthodoxy.
Morale to the story: Participation or posting on Workplace, like most of the useless initiatives in Chevron, won’t save your job. Do your core job well and contribute to the profit margin. Although still no guarantee of keeping your job, it’s where you need to focus all your time.
