Thread regarding SS&C Technologies layoffs

SS&C Health D&T show

Me and a bunch of my coworkers were starting to fall for the D&T show. Until this happened today I learned they are forcing out one of the best leaders, well respected, professional, dedicated and knowledgeable people to ever work at SS&C Health. This person single handed got everyone home safely working during COVID with not help or support from others. They are doing this while promoting their pets who are difficult to work with, rude and not trustworthy. This place is in real trouble someone needs to open their eyes. D&T will loose the support of hundreds over this.

This thread is so telling of why new leadership is separating the wheat from the chaff. They're movers and shakers working earnestly to bring the BU to its full potential and they appreciate and welcome those that grasp the vision. If you find yourself or those around you are complaining or on the chopping block, it's likely because you've been complacent for a while now.

Yet, id–ts like DW are promoted to senior director. Maybe he'll spend more time in KY. Wouldn't matter. You can't get a return call or email from him anyhow. The incompetence is deep.

T is just his secretary and nothing without him. Been in the org for 2 yrs as Sales and I dont think sold anything yet moved up when they fired SH. No one trusts her.

They are connected to Bill and do not give a hoot about KC.

Wow this thread is crazy. I know this person well and here is what I know - they have been a great leader and mentor to all no matter reporting structure - including to the so called pets that have recently been promoted. Do I think the people D&T promoted are qualified not in my personal experience they are difficult and condescending at best but it is what it is. The person someone started this thread about will never and would never do anything but support leadership and the goals of the organization. I too have been in shock and am beyond disappointed at this loss as a leader I have grown so much under this persons level-headed knowledgeable leadership. But as she told us weeks ago SS&C had a bright future under the leadership of D&T and please show those who replace her the same respect and support you have given me. We should all step up and do that after all it is her request. I am suspicious that something happened but I will do my best to rise above. You all should too and if there is something that happened I hope D&T and their so called pets rise above and show respect too. Everyone should learn something from this.

No one said D&T were not doing some good things. This loss may just be coincidental or collateral damage which is a shame I hope it’s not for health reasons but something does not seem on the up and up. It is a loss to us and them and they should realize it. They are business people and can probably make a difference their pets are the BSers just unfortunate that’s all.

They do care this is stupid talk. Did you hear what they did out of there own pockets for the guy who died of COVID in PS? They call out the b sh*tters and they arent liked b/c of it. They got rid of S.S. and neuterted S.G. For once we have biz ppl running us and they don’t fear anyone. S.G. Is no longer a player. Best move . Maybe now HS has a shot

I was literally on the phone asking for this persons help in solving a problem I have been dealing with for weeks. She had a resolution in less than 15 minutes. Not sure others will ever be able to do that. I asked her why she was leaving she shared it was a tough and sad decision but a personal one. She stressed it has nothing to do with the future of SS&C and that she believes the future is bright for all. She literally used the words I will be rooting for you guys. Wow just wow what a loss in such a negative culture. Something does not feel right about this she would not just leave but did not share anything, I hope it is not for health reasons. Whoever posted she is lucky D&T let her stay for 4 weeks what an insecure loser. I wonder if it is D&T or one of their pets that posted that. In my conversation she was nothing but positive about all of those people and SS&C.

I am in this persons org she has never been anything but positive and supportive of D&T leadership. She inherited a mess in Jan. 2020 people literally cussing each other out and fist fighting in the BPO within weeks of her taking over you saw a positive shift in the culture an accountability for getting the work done and understanding the cost associated with decisions being made and how to make better informed decisions. Then COVID hit she was literally disconnecting equipment and loading it up for people to be able to work at home. Then when everyone was safe revisited associate needs by additional equipment to be as productive at home as in the office. I saw a real leader in action not just a bunch of talk. I had never worked for this person until Jan. and I learned more about leadership in 2020 than I have in my entire tenure with SS&C. D&T are loosing one of the best that could have really helped them in all areas.

Wow this is the kind of nasty culture these new people are creating. I am in this persons org and have been told she does not have a job. D&T let her stay - they should only hope I thought she was being respectful at her level giving a 4 week notice. I was in a meeting where she announced she was leaving the was so positive about the company’s direction under D&T and asked we give the new leader the support we have given her. She did not deserve the mess she took over when others left it a mess and now it is obvious got no support she should run and I am guessing most would run where ever she goes given a chance. Wow just wow you terrible people.

If this is true they are loosing a lot of knowledge and a good leader. I used to work there and personally know she was given the BPO in 2020 it was a disaster. It was basically a zoo and she started getting it into shape and addressing issues immediately. Glad I found a job before everyone else starts looking.

Forced out????? Wth? This is so false I don’t even know where to begin. Check your information. Yes she is well respected. She will be missed but she left on her own accord. She resigned and has been engaged in a job search for a new adventure for quite some time. This isn’t a surprise. Reach out to her directly to confirm instead of spreading more rumors! You are being disrespectful to her. Stop!

CM resigned ! She wasn’t forced out. Get your facts straight. She’s lucky that D&T let her stay on for 4 weeks, especially since the BPO is a complete mess. D&T have inherited a complete disaster . The people they put in place are the only hope we have to survive.

Everyone is in shock over this. Such a loss for DST. Does anyone know where she is going, I would follow her anywhere. Tough but best leader I have had in my almost 40 years of working anywhere.

I heard about this but thought it was just a rumor, I was just working with this person on an issue today. They were leading the effort and had their typical positive attitude I thought to myself it must be a rumor. If this is true them these people need to check themselves.
