I'm a techie with no real knowledge of sales. Can someone explain to me how this all works and what "Atlas" is?

The term "Channel Leak" has nothing to do with margins and ALL to do with the revenue seepage from the unessential stacking Channels bring
LMAO Image of the kids in the movie Stand By Me . IBM Sales reps covered by Channels leeches
Total redundancy here. Clients wouldn't even notice The only people to notice would be the Sellers they leech off. Wipe them out and put more REAL Sellers who would actually generate revenue into the marketplace
I did...and now as a client I can emphatically agree 100%
the channel are Atlas surfers. looking to tag their names to the deal. they add no value. the same goes for the channel execs. just very good at wining and dining and attending hospitality burning ibm money
What a useless remark, you must have left IBM ages ago.
@dix+18eajCam Most of IBM treats Atlas as a place to find opportunities rather than a place to track their own.
Had several partner reps tell me this about themselves. They add no value, In terms of client facing deal progression. The partner relationships are mostly kept with ibm sellers to begin with anyways.

IBM s—s in the channel community and all the channel reps do is scour Atlas for opportunities to pilfer.
