Credit where credit is due. There are many critical posts on this site but after seeing this announcement I felt compelled to make a positive comment. Earlier this week AIG announced the creation of this fund to assist employees with hardships during these difficult times.
A few weeks ago there was a post "Well there goes another $4.5M (To NAACP et al) that was critical of AIGs philanthropy. I added a comment that "there are employees who don't necessarily have a lot of resources who could use assistance too. Too much outreach insead of "in"reach." I've read comments that HR or leadership monitor this site. It may be mere coincidence but I can only hope that my comment inspired someone to create this fund. Would be a great example of constructive feedback through this site that normally wouldn't be shared on "anonymous"annual surveys. Very nice gesture and just to preempt any critical comments, no not a leader, just your average everyday AIG team member.
