Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

COMPLETE S**T SHOW

XBS is literally disintegrating! Employees leaving every day. Customer complaints are the new norm. No decisions can be made at the local level. Well, maybe to buy single or 2 ply wipe. The operations team in Tampa are the laughing stock of the industry. 401k match gone, raises gone, perks and bonuses gone, customers soon to be gone. Hopefully soon, me too.

It has been a joke in Texas at XBS Southwest Dahill for two years. Just watching as all the dominos fall and no one seems to really care. I have a new job lined up and can't wait to be out of that place to start 2021 with a new company! Anyone that stays working there is in denial.

The original post stated "The operations team in Tampa are the laughing stock of the industry". What is going on over at Zeno that is so bad? I heard they got rid of bad apple in J.R. What else is going on over there?

If you really think the current justice system in the US is really concerned with workers rights and judges will take your side in an age discrimination case, I’ll personally take up the case.

I take my payment up front, though.

On the WARN notice I got it showed people from ages 25 to 72 in most categories. I would say about 75 percent were within the 50 to 68 group. The other 25 percent younger and were either chosen because they were truly under performers or sacrificed to balance the age number so no one could say they were singled out.

Class action for what? Age discrimination? XRX has let go so many people the distribution has to be equal. And the workforce is skewed older anyway. There is no case. Years of legal fees ending in a XRX bankruptcy. Let’s fight over the bones. So many posters here have no idea how the world actually works. Quit whining and go make your own future.

Just forward all calls to your manager. Or just don’t answer. Or if XBS, don’t sell Xerox products (orig agreement with GIS was you could sell competitor equip). Or if Cary, contact the governor about actual number of jobs moved there. Is west coast report Maresh daytime whereabouts. For some environments, upper deck may be an option. Many ways to inflict pain.

That is good advice in theory but real life you will see people talk big about class action but end result they will be hiding in a dark closet when the rubber meets the road. In this day and age of covid etc k–ling the job market most will take the severance money and run.

The only way to properly bring the company to its knees (and once again you would never get enough people to agree) is to call in sick for an entire week. That means everyone...XBS, DIrect Xerox, contractors etc. By Friday either the company will be filing bankruptcy papers or finally realizing who is really running the show around here. C-suite people would be jumping ship knowing their time is limited. Almost sounds like a Union action doesn't it?? Another item that would never make it to the dinner table...Just think what customers thoughts would be at the end of the week!!

Class action: you will need to (1) not sign the general release/forfeit your severance (2) locate others laid off who do not show on the list they are required to provide you of people in your group laid off and not laid off (3) go on record with EEOC (4) get others to agree to (1)(2)(3) and finally (5) get and afford a lawyer who can assist with the process.

Complaining on this site serves no purpose except to please the poster and those you read and reply. If you want to have an impact on the pretenders occupying the C Suite start by telling your customers the truth. Tell them how really bad service and supply fulfillment has become. Tell them to review their service contracts for print allowances that they are paying for not coming close to making. Tell them to withhold payment until such time as their contract is revised and credits are issued for the unmade copies. Better yet tell them to run to any competitor because any of them would be better than dealing with this unethical entity.

Beyond XBS, don’t forget the screwage applies to all Xerox, including secret decrease of severance, stopping of narrative (words) performance reviews to avoid future lawsuits by good performers, highest healthcare costs around increasing yearly, and the c-suite compensation plans going up not down.

Where is the IT savior? Naresh and his eminently qualified band of senior leaders must show us the way. They were touted as the backbone of the tech powerhouse. Maybe they are just the bone in the back (side). Tired of hearing their BS.

2 things..

  1. Your new President doesn't care about any one other then herself and meeting sales quota.
  2. Who said your 401k match is gone? I haven't received any letter nor did I agree to these terms..
