One thing I notice is no one older gets a promotion at Macy’s. It’s always the young kids who get promoted

Ageism is real. What is it called when a store manager try to influence a manager to write up associates because "it is time for them to go or influence an associate to retire?!?!"
After they gave their entire lives to the company. WOW!!!
How about working for 10 plus years with a outstanding reviews to have a brand new manager promoted her first month on the job. Yes, way younger!!! That's a tiny bit of the corruption in this company.
That is how Macy's has always done things. Out with the old and in with the new! With the recent job cuts a lot of the associates were the older team members.
