I am still reeling from being laid off a few days ago. I never saw this coming; there wasn’t even a whiff of it in the air. I don’t know what to do. Still trying to process having spent more than 3 years working my fingers to the bone and it was all for nothing. Man, if there was even whispers of the possibility of people being laid off you can bet I would have been better prepared. It’s too late now.

Yeah, I hear you. All I heard from our "management" was that things were great, we had more work than we had bandwidth, bonuses were going to be good, etc. Looks like they paid for the bonuses by cutting heads. Not the first time I saw that, but it was the first time I got axed.
