I am a current manager and yesterday I was given the opportunity with a huge retail chain to run my own store. It would require relocating however the pay/benefits/ bonuses are something I am not willing to pass up - especially considering how things have been getting progressively worse here. If you choose to remain I wish you the best of luck and for those who want better - you can do it because I did.

CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU!!! So happy you took that courageous step. There is absolutely no opportunity for you in this company unless you are connected, young, and maybe blonde. Not saying this to be mean, I witnessed it for years. Even when there were top performers with impeccable performance and resumes they could not get ahead. When i couldn't make sense of it all i asked the HR manager if there were mentors in the company and was shocked when I heard "NO, we don't do that." I thought, what a waste of everything good. The energy was put in what I could control. Soon I'll have my doctorate while those who tried to keep others back were either fired or miserable and making the lives of others extremely difficult.
You will succeed, you are going to excel. Don't ever doubt yourself. If you did it at this job you can do it anywhere. Spread your wings and fly. When you get tired and things seem difficult always, always tell your inner self "I CAN DO THIS AND I WILL SUCCEED." All the best and stay safe!!!
