In all seriousness can anyone tell me what they enjoy about the company? My wife was telling me what she loved about her job and the company she works for. I felt envious that she enjoys her work so much. I wish I could say the same. For the life of me I can’t think of one thing…well…maybe one…THE PAYCHECK.

I agree with the rest that this is a good place to get experiences, at least for my BU/team. I get any task/exposure I would like as long as I voiced out/showed initiative. Compensation is another story which I agree that we should look elsewhere after we level up our skillsets.
We have lots of new business and organic growth/ new funds launching every quarter and we don't get any market/annual adjustment. However, I tried to stay positive with all the new experiences/meeting new clients/challenges. With all the benefits/perks getting reduced, I am glad I figured out this after 6 years and it's not too late to seek new opportunities.
I love the people I work with and the projects we work on. Benefits are solid. 401K matching is nice. Stock options are also nice, especially given stock price has almost doubled in past couple years. That being said, I believe the situation greatly varies by team as SS&C BUs are siloed as a result of its many acquisitions.
We are working in a free enterprise system and this company that values what the CEO takes home. It is all about the money for them and the cronies at the top, everything else is an afterthought. They really do not value their employees that much, like many large companies, the skimp on pay, benefits and create an environment with purges. Hard work and dedication is not valued anymore but things could change.
This company is a joke. Bill Stone is an unethical bafoon.
I've worked in the industry for over 20 years with stints at Bank of New York, Reuters, Credit Suisse, etc
SS&C is without a doubt the worst employer I've ever come across. 5 years ago I enjoyed my job and was proud to work here.
Then Bill Stone took us over and I'll be getting out as soon as this pandemic is over as he has destroyed this company.
There is zero interest in being innovative, cutting edge or market leading and the only interest is in paring everything back to the bone
This place s—s but it’s good to get experience if your resume is lacking. The key is to not get trapped here. Work here 2-3 years and then bounce. Was able to double my salary. This place would replace you with cheap a– labor if they could. That’s why there’s zero raises.
I absolutely despise this company but it’s not a good time to be unemployed
