By reading at LinkedIn, you may think an asteroid hit.
It's all passive voice, and even "leaders" speak as if they are bystanders and witnesses.
"Colleagues have been impacted"
"were made redundant"
"We watched so many leave"
"If you've been affected"
It's just gross how they pat each other in the back for how "courageous" they are, and their display of "generosity", caring for others, and "community". Just plain bullish!t.
None has the courage to say that bad decisions led to an outcome that could have been prevented. None states that it was a choice to layoff people instead of x,y,z other measures. And definitely none will dare to use their courage to point out that there will be more layoffs next year.
Obviously every superficial and fake post ends with the mandatory "we are the best", Exxon only hires the best, and everyone will be happy to have our spoils. What a bunch of self-congratulating garbage. Tone deaf and true to form.
