Water cooler talk going around today of possible layoffs coming soon after the new year to Encompass and parts of claims? Don't know specific dates and areas within Encompass and claims impacted but heard from multiple different people that this is going around. I for one am not in either of these areas but still makes one nervous hearing such things.

I would expect 2 weeks per year of service and nothing more, not expecting a heads up this time around
And do u think they will offer a severance package? When some of those impacted will be Nat Gen employees that will flip to Allstate employees.guessing they all will have to be treated the same and severance is not a benefit, it’s a decision by the company to provide it or not.
Gods speed
We are all done at some point soon I’d be surprised if there’s anyone left by mid year. Do you really believe that road map from the PPL call.
You don’t think NatGen or Allstate can handle the claims volume of a book that might be 500m by late 2021?
As an Encompass employee, why are you all spreading such fear and non truth? Claims in Encompass already had the round of lay-off. Just because the sale will be finalized start of January, does not mean that the Encompass Books are closed. Those books will be open for at least one year and will need our claims department to handle the claims.
The sale of National General will be final January 4th
I can’t imagine Encompass will be around much longer once the ‘new product’ is introduced.
They make it sound so promising. I think they are afraid people will jump ship before they are ready for them to leave.
This same thing almost verbatim was brought up amongst by peers last week.
They heard from their manager as soon as January. We heard encompass, claims, and more in RMBC.
Yes, that’s definitely in the works. When existing customers exit faster than new ones are being added additional layoffs are inevitable.
