New merchandise partner with BNED

BNED partners with Fanatics et all. Think of all the money and time squandered on Fall Rush. Merry Christmas.

Orders routed to Fanatics while still shipping merchandise to stores that have zero walk in customers , very limited online GM orders. Racks are full and still receive more of the same merchandise. Who is making these poor decisions and then questioning the store as to why there is so much excess stock?

Just remember the VPs of sales clear over a quarter of a mil a year even in the time of COVID. While they lose contract after contract with no ramifications, everyone else pays the price. Fall Rush, PR stores and the attempts at manufacturing facilities there, every step is a failure upwards. But hey, it's not like we're bleeding out already to build the family another solarium for them to broadcast how they're suffering along with us.

It has everything to do with Fall Rush. Follett spent millions of dollars and thousands of hours to implement their own branded clothing line. When they went live, the realized that they needed licenses to produce their own line of clothing that was much more difficult to obtain. Project sc-apped.

B&N understood they may not have the expertise in a new industry and decided to leverage a partnership. Orders created on B&N routed to Fanatics for fulfillment. Great idea. Very low cost entry into a new market.

These are leadership issues, not the fault of the employees getting laid off every year to pay for these types of mistakes. No accountability at the top and the board is a rubber stamp.
